Google Ends Reporting on Six Structured Data Types in Search Console

Google has announced that it will no longer provide reporting for six deprecated structured data types in Search Console, the Rich Results Test, and appearance filters. While rankings won’t be affected, the changes will impact reporting and dashboard setups.

What’s Changing?

Reporting and testing will no longer be available for:

  • Course Info
  • Claim Review
  • Estimated Salary
  • Learning Video
  • Special Announcement
  • Vehicle Listing

Google confirmed that API responses will continue through December, but deprecated Search appearance fields will return as NULL in Bulk Data Export starting October.

Why This Matters

  • Rankings remain safe ✅
  • You can keep the structured data markup ❌ (removal not required)
  • Changes only affect reporting & rich result visuals

Google stated:
“We believe this change contributes to a cleaner, more focused Search results page for everyone.”

What To Do Next

  1. Update queries or dashboards that rely on these data appearances.
  2. Switch conditional logic to IS checks in BigQuery to avoid query failures.
  3. Keep your structured data intact for indexing, but note it won’t enhance rich results anymore.

Looking Ahead

Google is streamlining Search results to prioritize structured data types that deliver higher value to users. More structured data deprecations may roll out in the future, so keeping your reporting adaptable is key.
